Susan Powter makes exercise available to anybody any size!
This DVD is so wonderful. I just bought it and tried it out with my kids. It doesn’t require any fancy shoes or equipment. It is fun and exciting. It has several levels of modification for ANY fitness level. I am a LARGE lady, and let me tell you I found I could do it. The great thing is I did it with out feeling like I was having a heart attack or was going to pass out! It has so many modifications, for any fitness level, I sincerely believe that anybody, including the incredibly fit and gorgeous can get some thing out of it. I recommend any body and every body try this fitness DVD out. A huge plus is Susan’s great personality. She is so positive and non-judgmental in the way she addresses her audience.

Terrific for people who are actually out of shape; still challenging as you advance to high fitness level
Many cardio workouts appear to be best-suited for people who are already in good physical shape. This one stands out as different because almost anybody can do it from day one. The moves are easy to modify to meet your current fitness level, and you never need to feel out of breath. Susan Powter is also very encouraging and upbeat, just like she always has been. I found it easy to get the hang of the moves, which seem to flow naturally. It’s best to have a step platform for this workout, but I think it’s do-able even without one, at a very beginning fitness level. I’ve been a long-time fan of Susan Powter, and I like this workout better than earlier ones for various reasons, e.g. the decorative background is more pleasing to look at than a plain gym. Only negative: the music could be more interesting. It’s not really music so much as just rhythmic background, but it does match the moves perfectly.

fantastic!
This a great cardio workout, I am a bit of a health nut and am in shape. Man, this makes me sweat! I use a pretty high step for the workout and by the lat few minutes, I am looking forward to the end. Great workout, favorite cardio workout of all time!

Similiar to the older tapes
This DVD has taken many of the classic Susan Powter moves and updated them, slowed them down, and lines them up efficiently for the person exercising. If you are new to Susan or an old timer like me, then you will really enjoy this DVD. The time is quick to get you on with your day.

It works
I did Susan’s Lean Strong and Healthy and got into great shape
While I wait for that to come onto dvd, iI came across this dvd. It works.
It is Susan at her best encouraging you to do your best. I strongly recommend this

I had a Susan Powter workout tape years ago and loved it so when I was looking for a yoga workout was very pleased to see she had one. The combination yoga and step is just enough cardio for someone not used to doing much and the yoga moves are very simple and easy to follow.

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!
I just purchased my second copy of this book. I lent it to a friend and now I can’t get it back!! The recipes in this book are delicious, easy, and will appeal to the entire family. This is the type of cookbook that you can actually use every day—not just for one or two recipes. Also, Susan teaches you how to cut out a lot of fat from your own recipes. I now use fat free chicken broth all the time. A definite must have for anyone who is watching their weight or who wants to cut out fat without cutting out flavor.

FINALLY! A BOOK WITH WHOLE, NUTRITIOUS, GOOD FOR YOU FOODS!
I recently started on SP Give Me Five program and wanted to find more information on whole foods. I went to the library and checked out this book. WOW! doesn’t do it justice. I read the entire book on an 8 hour drive and was totally amazed at all the extremely Lo-Fat meals. Things even my children would even eat. I can’t wait to buy this book for myself and through out all the high fat, dust collecting, cookbooks in my cabinets. I have been eating low fat for two weeks and walking almost every night and I already FEEL I MEAN REALLY, FEEL BETTER. I can even get my jean shorts on. Susan is Amazing!

The book itself has great info.

I love this book.
I originally bought this book a few years ago and contacted Susan to let her know how much I loved her book. She is so nice. Anyways, out of all the diet and fitness books I’ve read; this one is by far the best one. I thought I didn’t need the book anymore so I gave it to someone who I thought needed it more than me. I miss this book, so I had to order another one. This one I’m keeping forever.

When you read this book, it all begins to make sense and losing weight becomes easy. Living life the way we should be living it becomes easy not a chore. She goes into great detail about food and fitness and what it does to us.

Sometimes I read a book about diet and fitness and I can’t even get through it, it’s so boring and repetitive and doesn’t give much explanation as to “Why”. We really all need to know “why” otherwise we won’t have reasons to keep going on the right path. For those who feel lost in the diet and fitness arena, have binge eating disorder, compulsive eating problems, .. please read this book. You will be so thankful you did.

Reading in the sandbox
This book sits in my sandbox library for quick review and reading. It covers all the aspects of the Susan Powter way of losing weight. Easy to read, and easy make notes in for future reference. I love this book. One of my favorite parts is where she tells a lady to skip going to the party/event, if she thinks she is going to lose a tremendous about of weight in a short time, AND is embarassed about the way she looks. Plus, she clears up that a pound of fat, and a pound of muscle weigh the same, but the fat takes up (cubic sqaure feet) more area than the muscle of the same weight. I think of the comparison as a pound of gold—muscle to a pound of sand—fat. Gold is small but heavy, sand spreds out everywhere and is well, messy.
