Oh dear, Susan. I feel for you. Back spasms are just the worst. Breathe that spine back into wellness soon lovely lady. Light one of your soy lavendar candles, close your eyes and breathe in that relaxing, calming scent. Perhaps some reflexology?

Take care (which I know you will) and listen to what your body is telling you. When my back demands my attention, I usually have to quiet myself, meditate and clear my mind.

Looking forward to seeing the soup.

I had rehab for a bad back. They taught me to take a medium to small fitness ball. Lie on your back with your knees bent. Put the ball between your knees and squeeze. It fires those lower muscles and heals any pinched nerve. Hope you see this~ helps

Backs are the worst when they hurt! Mine has on and off for years - for me yoga is the key. Actually my back hurts right now but it does most days so we just keep living. Hope your's gets better soon!

Susan,
Have you tried massage for your back? My son is a massage therapist and the last time my back went out it really helped.

During rehab for my back after childbirth, I learned to lie on my back knees bent. Place a medium exercise ball between knees and squeeze. It fires those lower back muscles to release tension and straighten things out down there. Works! Try it!

one word for you..........SCIATICA. It sounds like it when u said ur leg was going numb. Big pinched nerve.. i have it now semi-permanently since pushing for 6 hours in labor! Gained 70lbs because of it. Take it easy girl, and get well soon!

After having 2 back surgeries and looking at one more...I know what you're going through. Part of the problem is that as a mom of three, I don't know how to REST. Rest isn't a sign of laziness...rinse and repeat.

I absolutely love your spirit! Every word you speak, even while talking about your back (which I totally understand because I've been there!) is like poetry to me. I love that you are YOU! Take good care of that back!
